Check the list of current elite athletes and the requirements once you are registered:

Current students:

• Email the Elite Athlete Inbox eliteathletes@qut.edu.au.
• Include full name, student number, contact details, sport
• Attach a sports resume outlining the teams/competitions you have and are competing in

You will receive an email response to confirm your registration outcome. If approved, you will need to pick up the Elite Athlete Pack from Brittany Downes, Level 2 X Block, Room X222 GP. Once you have the pack you will be added to the Elite Athlete List.

Prospective students:

• secondary school student, or
• student applying to QUT for the first time

OP Benefit Scheme:

The Elite Athlete OP Benefit Scheme offers prospective students who excel in their sport an exemption of up to 3 OP scores. For example, an elite athlete student who receives an OP score of 8 and wants to study a course that requires an OP of 5 may still be eligible to study at QUT.

• Attach a sports resume - word document listing teams/competitions over the past two years
• Cut off date for Semester 1 2010: 11 January 2010

Applicants will receive an email response to confirm your application submission. All applicants will be notified of their outcome before the first offer rounds are announced in late December and mid January.

Once at QUT:

All successful OP benefit applicants will be automatically registered for the Elite Athlete Program upon enrolling at QUT. You will receive an Elite Athlete Pack outlining the program information.
