OP Benefit Scheme - Opens 1st September

QUT has an Elite Athlete OP Benefit Scheme offering prospective students who excel in their sport an exemption of up to 3 OP scores. For example, an elite athlete student who receives an OP score of 8 and wants to study a course that requires an OP of 5 may still be eligible to study at QUT.

Applications are sent to the QUT Elite Athlete Program for assessment, and then forwarded back to QUT Admissions to apply the OP Benefit decision to the applicant's QTAC record.

This benefit is not available to students already enrolled at QUT.

To apply for an OP Benefit:

(1) Complete Online Form: http://www.student.qut.edu.au/forms/ea-form

Attach relevant information to the online form:

• Sports Resume: word document listing teams/competitions that you have been involved in over the past two years
• In the ‘Comments’ field, please include information about training hours each week and length of periods away during the senior school semesters.

(2) Applicants will receive an email response to confirm their application submission.

All applicants will receive a response within a few days of submitting the application however will not be notified of their outcome until offer rounds are announced in late December and mid January. Mid year applicants will be notified before mid year offer rounds are announced.

(3) Once at QUT:

All successful OP benefit applicants who enrol at QUT will automatically be eligible for the Elite Athlete Program. These applicants will receive information on how to register for the program once at QUT, and will receive an Elite Athlete Pack outlining the program information via email in O Week of Semester 1 or Semester 2.
