There are various different processes that are adopted by employers’ to assist with the selection process. The process may be as extensive as the steps listed here or it may incorporate only certain aspects. Successful employment preparation involves being aware of the possible techniques involved in recruitment. The position and the number of applicants will determine the extent of the selection process. However, recruitment for many graduate positions is likely to consist of most all of the steps listed.

Please be aware that employers will not necessarily adopt all these selection strategies and they may not necessarily be in the order presented.
