People do find jobs through advertised jobs - most often seekers who meet or exceed employer requirements (and submit a resume and a cover letter that are on target). But the Advertised Job Market is only a tiny fraction of available jobs. See unadvertised jobs.

Many employers post full-time, part-time, and casual and volunteer positions on their website. These employers may advertise them with the University, commercial providers and many other areas listed within this section.

You can also use online search engines to locate organisation websites. However, make sure the website you locate is actually for the specific organisation at the geographic location you are interested in.
