Work experience insurance provides QUT students with the appropriate insurance for unpaid, course-related work experience.

The insurance is for students who have obtained relevant work experience, that is not a formal requirement of their course but will complement their studies and help prepare them for, and to obtain future employment.

Students are responsible for arranging the completion of the required documentation and request that their employer/immediate supervisor sign the insurance agreement.

QUT Careers & Employment administer the Work experience insurance and forward the appropriate confirmation details to the participating employer upon completion of the paperwork.

The work experience application form provides details of the insurance coverage including the period of availability for the current year.

Student Eligibility:

To be eligible for the program the following conditions must be met:

The student must be currently enrolled, or have graduated within the last six months.
The student must obtain his or her own work placement.
The work must be approved by QUT C&E staff as being relevant to his or her degree/area of study.
The employer must formally agree to supervise the student onsite.
A start and end date must be specified.
Both the student and the employer must sign the Registration Form. The original Registration Form will be held by C&E and copies will be provided to the student and employer.
