The International Work Placement Scheme (IWPS) allows international students who are studying at QUT to gain work experience in their home country or another country while they study. This means that employers can offer work experience to a QUT student while they are fully covered by QUT insurance. The employer advantages of this scheme include:
- Enhancing recruitment processes by enabling the company to view future employees in the workplace
- Can assist in profiling the company to graduates
- Allows individual projects to be completed at minimum cost by staff who are about to graduate.

To register your company for participation, please complete and return the Registration Form and Conditions.
Student Insurance:
To be covered by QUT Public Liability and Personal Accident Insurance, students participating in the IWPS and their employers need to fill out and sign the Insurance Registration form found here. This form needs to be faxed to our office (0061 7 3138 2368) on the student's first day on the job.
