After you have explored your story and have a good understanding of the occupations that you are interested in, you are ready to begin exploring course options that will help you to achieve your occupational goals.

Identify possible courses

There are a number of useful resources provided by QUT that will assist you with obtaining information about courses. Whilst researching consider the following points:

  • What does the course involve?
  • What subject areas will be covered?
  • Is there a good link between industry and course (eg., practical experience?)
  • What types of jobs do graduates get?

On-line resources

  • QUT Studyfinder
    A QUT course database designed to assist prospective students research courses through a variety of search functions.
  • QUT Courses by Faculty
    Provides specific course information listed by faculty such as overview of course, length of course, career outcomes, professional recognition and course design.
  • QUT Graduate Destinations
    QUT collates information on the occupational destinations of students within 3 months of graduating from their QUT course. The graduate outcome data is a useful resource for gaining information about graduate occupational outcomes.This data is reported on the QUT Careers and Employment website and is available for both individual and double degrees according to the relevant faculty.
